That’s right. Our TABC Certification Tip of the Day is to be on the lookout for flushed, slightly aroused (hey, they could be intoxicated too) middle-aged women coming into your store looking for one specific new product that has yet to hit the shelves: Fifty Shades of Grey wine.

What are being touted as “Wines from bestselling novelist EL James”, the Fifty Shades label is available in two blends: one red, one white. The red, called Red Satin, is a blend of Petite Sirah and Syrah, while the White Silk is a blend of Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc.

While our TABC certification course pays great attention to factors that contribute to intoxication such as medical conditions, narcotics, and prescription medication, we do not cover the signs of book-induced arousal. We’ll keep our eyes open on this one.
